| TREND FORECASTING |

THE PROCESS

Human Behaviour & Cultural Shifts

In order to predict consumer demand it is important to understand how they think. To be one step ahead and have the ability to see patterns in behaviour. Having the knowledge of historical shifts in and outside of the fashion industry is key.

Emotional Connection

Having a good eye and knowing when something looks good is imperative in trend forecasting, but knowing how someone feels is crucial also. Emotional connections and heart led decisions within the fashion industry will help brands and consumers form a bond.

Trend Stories & Concepts

Forecasting at heart, is story telling. As a trend forecaster and futurist it is my role to capture the imaginations of clients and help them capture the imagination of their consumers. When I create trend stories or concepts I am tapping into emotions and feelings as well as important aesthetics to help sell products.

Colour Analysis

In the design world, colour is king and selecting the perfect tone can be difficult. I have many years of experience in colour analysis and am able to identify key colour trends and create strong palettes to help create future best sellers.

Key Items

Calling out future key items plays a big role within trend forecasting. Throughout my many years in the fashion industry I have honed the skills to pick up on market shifts. I have a strong intuition on what will work and what will not and balance volume drivers and commercial product with direction design.

Inspiration Provider

It is almost impossible for designers and buyers to filter through the endless pieces of information in the world whilst creating their range. It is my job to be that filter and identify the trends that work for them, creating bite sized pockets of inspiration and giving them the tools to create beautiful collections and best selling product.
